Ref: Double Screw Jib (4M + 4M) fully Powered Slewing with OMEGA 335 Mixer Trough (Total reach = 10.04 Metres)

 

Introduction:

The new product is a 3-Arm Mixer – Screw Jibs, features a 4M primary jib and 4M secondary jib supporting a mixer trough. Both the Jibs and mixer trough have powered rotation. This design isn’t entirely new, as similar equipment was supplied before 2010. This product has now been redesigned according to the latest drawing and manufacturing standards.

  1. New line of product for 3-Arm mixers – with Screw Jibs
  2. Designs available for Mixers up to 35 TPH.

Detailed description:

  1. The Primary Jib, Secondary jib and Mixer Trough can all rotate by 270° (135° on both orientations from home position as shown below)
  2. Critical fabrications were analysed and verified on 3D CAD package with FEA to reduce the weight and ensure they are fit for purpose.
  3. Ducting over the Jibs is for cable and chemical hose routing for improved cable management, eliminating the need for Energy chains.

 

Features & Benefits:

  1. Standard jib mixer (single arm + mixer) has a reach limited to the length of Screw jib (6m max.) plus the mixer trough length. The 3-Arm Mixer reach can be extended further by adding a secondary screw jib.
  2. With secondary screw jib, the coverage area for sand discharge (highlighted in green below) significantly increases as both Mixer trough and the secondary jib can slew by 270°
  3. The sand discharge height of 3-arm mixers, which are ideal for floor moulding, does not need to match the standard AB mixers. It is not necessary for the sand discharge height to be suitable for the Mould on Compaction Table. Since the designs are still incomplete, it is premature to determine the sand discharge height and design the jibs accordingly. The New Machine Sizes document will be updated once the new 3-arm mixer designs are finalized.

  1. This product must always be sold with Auto-Finger Guard as safety feature foroperator to safely clear mixer discharge.
  2. This product cannot be used with Autofill (Safety reasons)
  3. This product update is only for 3-Arm Mixer
    • For screw jibs only.
    • Not for belt jibs (OR) belt jibs with hydraulic lift.
