Characteristics

GEOPOL® technology is an ecological geopolymer-based inorganic binder system producing moulds and cores from mixtures for casting ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Application area

Self-hardening mixtures curable with SA series hardeners:

  • High bonding ability, binder dosage 1.4 to 2.0 %.
  • Ecological and economical system for producing moulds and cores.
  • Mixture workability of 2 to 90 minutes.
  • Good break down after pouring.
  • Mechanical reclamation – mechanical abrasion can be used.
  • Operational use of 100% recycled sand for backing sand.
  • Operational use of 70 to 75% recycled sand for facing sand.

Mixtures curable with CO2:

  • Binder dosage of 2.3 to 3.0 %.
  • Ecological and economical system for producing moulds and cores.
  • Mixtures suitable for manufacturing cores by shooting.
  • Good break down after pouring.
  • Low CO2consumption.
  • Seamless core storage life.

Natrium Waterglasses

vodaNatrium water glass is a silicate binder without additives; it is suitable for producing moulds and cores and can be used for casting ferrous and nonferrous metals.

Destination:

Natrium waterglasses are for mixtures curable with CO2

Properties:

The recommended dosage is 4.0 to 5.0 parts by weight to100 parts by weight of the opening material.

Waterglasses Modified

An inorganic binder system based on natrium silicate for preparing moulding mixtures. They can be used for casting ferrous and nonferrous metals.

Advantages:

  • Low friability and fragility of the hardened mixture.
  • Good break down of moulds.
  • High strength of moulds after curing and storage.
  • Good mixture fluidity.
  • Good mould  disassembly.

Hardeners for curing water glasses

DIACETIN

A liquid hardener based on acetic acid esters and glycerine for curing self-hardening mixtures based on water glass. It gives the mixture long workability.

vodni skloTRIACETIN

A liquid hardener based on acetic acid esters and glycerine for curing self-hardening mixtures based on water glass. It gives the mixture long workability.

EGDA

A liquid hardener based on acetic acid esters and glycerine for curing self-hardening mixtures based on water glass. It gives the mixture long workability.

 PROPYLEN CARBONATE

A liquid hardener based on acetic acid esters for curing self-hardening mixtures containing silicate binders. It makes the mixtures easy to reclaim.
