SAND TEAM participated in the European Green Foundry Life project as a supplier of the inorganic binder GEOPOL®.
This project aims to promote the use of inorganic binders in ferrous metal foundries and thus reduce the environmental impact around foundries and improve the working environment in foundries. The project addressed emissions from casting and the issues of regeneration, storage, landfilling and composting of foundry sands.
The project partners were European foundries and research institutions (Poland, Spain, Italy, Finland, Estonia, France, Germany).
Presentations of the project results in the form of webinars are currently taking place.
